Hello,

a bit about me:

I am excited to bring expertise to BPA  regarding how CMS practices including RVUs and CPT codes influence productivity standards for salaried psychologists in integrated care settings beyond fee for service reimbursement.  In addition, I understand the importance of moving toward value-based payment for the profession of psychology.   I have state leadership experience, including as Ohio Psychological Association President 2013-2014, the APA Committee of State Leaders, and a twelve time representative to the APA Practice Leadership Conference.  In addition I have been active in advocacy through the profession at the state and national level serving on the Committee for the Advancement of Professional Practice (Vice Chair 2018-2019). As a member of CAPP, I led and completed an Integrated Care Policy addressing outcomes measurement, workforce development, and business of practice issues in integrated care

My background as a practitioner, educator, social justice advocate, and researcher fit well with APA’s new strategic plan that integrates these areas of advocacy.  I believe strongly in the enrichment of professional psychology through close cooperation with culturally diverse groups, allies, and stakeholders.  My skills in integrated health practice at a large institution, advocacy, and public education fit well with the mission of BPA.  If I am elected to BPA, I will bring collaborative leadership and a strong understanding of how to address challenges from a professional practice background
